J.O. ŠLIK was one of the old owners of the Svijany brewery, and above all one of the leaders of the anti-Habsburg opposition, who found his death on the gallows in the Old Town Square after the battle on White Mountain in 1621. On the occasion of the 400th anniversary, the brewery brewed ŠLIK beer in his honor - honest, bottom-fermented lager, made from the best ingredients that the Czech lands have to offer.
