Budweiser Budvar tmavý ležák Dark Lager , a dark lager with a distinctive, slightly bitter taste with coffee undertones. It is characterized by a distinctly dark color, a dry, slightly bitter caramel taste without the dominance of sweetness. The aroma is delicate after roasted malt.

It is produced in the same way as the original pale lager, using the finest Žatec hops, Moravian malt, water pumped from 300 m deep artesian wells and three types of special colored barley malts: Munich, caramel and roasted.
