In 1518, Vilém from Pernštejn granted the brewing house U Zeleného Stromu it's license and thus started a unique and unprecedented in Europe production of rye distillates lasting five hundred years.. According to Regulation 4, this original Czech distillate acquires a perfectly balanced fine taste by aging in American white oak barrels .
